Moving furniture?

Made this fun card for my nephew who, along with his friend, moved a heavy sofa from my sister’s house to mine this weekend.  They wouldn’t take any money, of course, so I will tuck in a couple gift cards to a local eatery, and mail it out today.

I used watercolor paper and Distress sprays (mermaid lagoon, frayed burlap, rusty hinge) for the background. The stencil is THMM137 with grit paste colored with walnut stain ink. A paper doll, ephemera and stickers from the metallic sticker book and it is finished except for the inside note.  ❤️

Close up shows the grit paste - colored with walnut stain Distress ink.  Applied through the stencil, it adds a rustic touch to the background.

Hello again! Where have I been?

Hey there!  Long time and all that.  It’s been a minute since I made a blog post and thought I would update you on what’s been happening in my world.

First, I have recently stepped back from being a business-minded Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, and gone to hobby status for a few months.  I’ll complete 20 years in March of 2023, so will probably drop at that time.  Sure will be a big change! BUT…I plan to still use that wonderful product, so you will see posts showcasing them.  I don’t have “The Classroom” anymore, it has become “The Studio”! ☺️

I have many hobbies and creative outlets I want to start again.  I started knitting a few years ago, so you might see a smattering of that here. I am still scrapping digitally,

and have become possessed by anything Tim Holtz or Heidi Swapp!  I know - totally different styles, but I love them both!

So here are a few photos of recent “makes” of all kinds!

First some projects using Tim Holtz Distress Inks and Oxide Inks:

Next is some Heidi Swapp fun:

And can’t forget my first stamping love, Stampin’Up! (c)
